Shannel did very well in her pageant. Those attending said she handled herself as a professional. Her Dad and I were so proud. My mission in life is this: to portray true beauty, to communicate real stories, and to compel people to a deeper level of thinking and living. My production company is called "Natural State Productions" for two reasons: yes I am from the Natural State--Arkansas, but really, because I want my art to reflect humanity the way we were created to be..."in the beginning." Our "Natural State" is the way God created all humans to live. In other words, before the fall, before sin, before stereotypes, before we were affected by any outside pressure to be anything that is not true to our core...that is our natural state. I want my work to speak to the potential of all human kind. You enabled me to fulfill this purpose this weekend. This weekend I saw girls getting down to their "natural state," and in my opinion that is the most true definition of beauty.  I want to thank you for your abundant generosity towards us this weekend. I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet all of you, and I am so grateful for the work that you do. I feel that the footage we were able to capture this weekend will add depth to the film. It is clear from what we saw this weekend that pageant contestants are anything but shallow and empty. I really believe in what you are doing. I recognize that you are not just preparing girls to compete in a pageant, but you are preparing them to successfully survive in the world. My crew and I were deeply moved and profoundly affected by your work this weekend. Each of us was changed. Your light, your sensitivity and your honesty are so deeply needed in the world. I desire to see you reach the highest level success, because I know that the world can be changed by what you have to give. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am humbled and honored to be granted the privilege to capture true beauty this weekend.
